More than reducing FIFO and FFDRo, Aquaterra is improving soil and pollinator habitats with scalable and renewable agriculture.

Just 2 hectares of Nuseed Omega-3 Canola produces as much DHA as 10,000 kg of wild fish.  Including Aquaterra in feed formulations decreases FIFO and FFDRo while increasing the total omega-3 in the fillet. Aquaterra has the power to double the world’s supply of DHA on a small fraction current canola fields.

Plant to Plant Technology

Aquaterra created a scalable supply of long-chain omega-3 nutrition with sophisticated plant-to-plant biotechnology. Microalgae are unicellular aquatic plants with the incredible ability to transform sunshine into long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LC-PUFA). Adding seven microalgae genes to canola provides the pathway to produce LC-PUFA including DHA+EPA in a sustainable, land-based crop.
